Bindi is 8 months old..just thought i would show her off..sorry for the quality of the pics

these are the fist pics I took yesterday of riddick and tigre. I hope these posts it's the first time i've posted before

You must first upload the photo to the internet. If you don't have a website or some kind of account (like AOL or photobucket) that allows you to upload photos to the web you can register for Kingsnakes Photo gallery (link at the top of the page).

Once you've gotten the picture uploaded you can put it in your message three ways:

Right click the image and get the properties - you'll want to copy the location or URL.

1. Type or paste the URL between [ img ] [/img ] (take out all the spaces)

2. Type in or paste the URL where it says "Image URL" at the bottom of the message screen.

3. If you use Kingsnakes photo gallery - you can select it from a drop down menu of the photos you have in the gallery (found on the message window). By holding down the CTRL key, you can select up to three photos.

I like the deep color! Pretty! How many grams?

Is that a 40 gallon tank? Are you using a heat lamp or UTH?

I keep hearing such diff stories about what balls would prefer as a cage. I love the aspect of a great tank to showcase the gorgeous snake & get people's attention. Once you have that first hook, then you can try & ease them into not being such haters.

But do balls really prefer a tiny plastic tub far away from prying eyes & noises?

Despite what some may say, in the past I have kept balls in anything from 20 gallon tanks to 80 gallon tanks and have not noticed any loss in feeding or timidness. In fact, my oldest male spent his first 5 years with me in an 80 gallon display tank with a great temp gradient and multiple hides. He loved to coem out at night and cruise around and to this day is still my best feeding male.

I hope this adds some insight, but you must always remember that ech snake is different. I know I have some females that would love it if they lived in a coffee can =P

I am going to switch mister picky to a tub this week & then put my new pastel in the display tank when he arrives next week. (after cleaning & disinfecting of course)

Yea it is a 40L. I have a screen for the top that is covered half way with flexi glass. I do have UTH underneath the tank on both sides. I also have a heat lamp for one side of the cage. Sometimes i use a fogger when the humidity is low. Other times i cover the whole tank on top with a towel and the humidity will go way up over night. Its some work to keep it regulated but its a nice setup. When she is full grown I will have a custom cage built.

As Blowitch said, I have had them in anything from a 10 gal for juvies to a 125 gal for adults. Custom cages, rack systems, alone or in groups. Each snake is an individual. I have had those that needed a hide box in a hide box and those exhabitionists that didn't care if the whole world watched what was going on. But I also heard that they are picky eaters. I have had those that had to have blah, blah, blah,hold your tongue at the right angle to get them to eat. Then I have had those that would kill anything that came in front of them that had the chill knocked off. Again, they are all individuals. Do what works for yours. And if nothing works, look at what others have tried. That is another aspect that makes these guys(and girls)so much fun.
