Yes, but then the auction was canceled when a mapping error was discovered on the offering documents. Since then the auction has become public and now if enough heat is brought to bear from the public it's possible that it may be canceled altogether.
First they tried to sell of parts of Big Bend State Park, then Black Gap, now it's the Christmas Mountains.
