Is that on hold because of HB12, or is it on hold due to other priorities...
I think the contest should be open to in-situ, archives of animals from years past and captive locality animals. At least until we fix the issue on HB12.

It will go on. Localities listed on alterna of the month will be by county only, or maybe none at all, and I prefer now to not credit the observers.
I am not suggesting anyone break the law regarding HB 12, I'm just not going to voluntarily contribute to data harvesting by outside sources. If they want observational data they know what the best source for that is and they can solicit it.
If I were a casual poster to this forum I would consider what I just mentioned. It sucks yes, but it is what it is.
To be clear, NOW I just want to protect the privacy of the observers and the localities where they prefer to observe.

I understand that, but is there any "rule" against putting up a WC alterna from several years ago? That alone will make any data harvested useless and protect the winner from any BS if they have a name attached. The county as locality only is a good idea, but for the most part that cat is already way out of the bag...
Bottom line I do not want the uninformed and the narrow mined to win on any count.
