One of my female balls tends to strike alot when I am feeding her but won't constrict. I am not pestering her with the mouse, she show interest and searches for it when I move it around. She has even at time struck and started to constrict but then let go. I have only been able to feed her live mice, but when I have tried with F/T she does the same thing. Has anyone had this same problem or know what may be causing it.

when i feed my bp, i have to dangle it and shake it with a pair of tongs before he strikes at it. if he strikes and the mouse drops, he wont eat it ! i have to shake it before. but then he constricts thinking it was alive (i think). so i think both of our bp's have similar attitude towards mice. try to shake the mouse !

These BP's don't seem to have a liking for dead rodents. Just like any wild animal they have the instinct to survive. If you just starve them a little and then feed them I am pretty sure it will eat whatever you give it. Hope this helps.
