nice ghost hondo

rtdunham May 08, 2004 12:27 PM

his is the cleanest ghost I've had...it's a 20 month old that so far has not shown an interest in breeding.

points of interest:

--how clean the pink rings are;

--the fact that those rings ARE pale pink, not white like the other rings, showing that these animals are really "hypoerythristics", with reduced erythrins, not "a"nerythristics with melanin eliminated completely;

--the bands that would be black on a normal, although on this animal they're gray and not glossy black, are still pretty dark, not light like on the handful of "extreme" hypos that have shown up;

and lastly, imagine how a ghost like this would look if the hypo phenotype it incorporated were the extreme hypo instead of the regular hypo.

peace
