I am posting this pic of my male common snapper. I have no clue what to call him color phase wise, but I know he is a gem, and a genetic jackpot! He is photographed with a younger common snapper on his back as a photo reference.

Not sure if the same kind of terminology used for snakes would apply here, but offhand I'd say he is hypomelanistic (reduced melanin pigment). I had a common snapper like that a while back myself.
