are even layed! These ball pythons can really surprise/humble you
sometimes. Sometimes it is a nice surprise...and sometimes
just the opposite. That's what makes breeding ball pythons
both a joy and a challenge at the same time.
I was waiting for this 3400g female to lay her eggs anyday
now. She was bred to a very nice male and I was looking forward
to the babies already. The good news is that she layed 11 eggs
for me! The bad news is that 7 were slugs, and it looks
like (candled) that 2 others are not fertile. Ugh! 2 eggs
from one of my larger females. I guess sometimes you get
lucky, and sometimes you don't. I think the trick is to
keep trying!
Well, it is funny how things work sometimes. I had a female
3 days ago lay 7 fertile eggs. She only weighed 1600g! I
guess you never know what you are going to get... Earlier in
the season, I had a 1250g female give me **6** eggs!
