This is in regards to the female hatchling that I had a post about earlier. I couldn't get her to feed. Someone recomended force feeding, and with much hesitation I decided to give it a try, seeing that she is very thin. All went well, I barely put a p/k small fuzzy mouse in her mouth and she took care of the rest.
Checking up on her I realized that she is very motionless, at first I thought she might have passed. When I picked her up, she kept trying to open her mouth. It looked very similar to when a ball is swallowing its food it opens it's mouth to force the food down. She kept her mouth open and began to twist so I decided to put her back in her hide and make sure she gets heat. It is very sad to see a baby ball like that.
I'm worried that she is not going to make it. Perhaps there is something internallly wrong with this her? The fuzzy mouse seems like it would be the right size, yet I could see it's whole body inside her neck. If anyone has any advice, it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks, Dave.
