1 out of 4 ain't bad

stomperUT Jul 02, 2004 04:00 PM

Today was the first attempted feeding of my new baby balls. Got them a week ago. only one of the four ate(the biggest one ate). The other 3 were scared of the fuzzy. I was told three were feeding on stunned and one on live when I got them. the funny part is the one feeding on live was the only one to take the thawed today. Better luck next week!

Oh yeah, should you feed a ball that is in the late phase of shed. The only one that ate is in the stage where his eyes are back to normal and the old skin is coming off. He had a bad shed. When I got him I didn't know he was in shed so I only had the humidity 50-60% but when I noticed that he started to peel 2 days later I raised it to 70-75%.

Thanks,
Steve

my ball is approximately 2 - 3 months old. all i do is thaw out the mouse and place it half in, half out of his hiding spot on the hot side (assuming he is already in there) leave him alone, he peaks around then takes it, just like that!
