Can sutures be removed w/out having to go to the vet?

Are their instructions of some sort on how to do it?

I could use ANY help on this matter.

Are you trying to save money? What type of sutures were used and where are they located? What type of "work" was performed? A good reason to have the vet do it, is so he/she can see how the wound is healing.

Why do you want to remove them yourself? At many vets, the suture removal doesn't cost anything; it's considered part of the original procedure. If it's not because of money (stress to the animal, etc), all they'll do is snip each one and quickly pull it out - not that I'm recommending doing this at home. It's always a good idea to have them look at the incision to make sure it's healed enough to remove the sutures in the first place.
