A few ball python questions

haveagreenday Jul 05, 2004 10:59 PM

I have a few questions retaining to the ball python. I don't like to feed live rodents because the moving prey makes the python more agressive. And the pet store near me only sells live rodents. Is there a way to kill tham that dosen't cause any pane for the rodent? And would a sterlite tub work for a BP? And what watt would you recomend?

Please explain/validate your claim.

although there are many reasons not to feed live the fact that they become more agressive with live feeding is not one of them. The bp will strike and coil live or dead the same and the react to food the same. unless you smell like the food your bp will be no more agressive towards you one way or thr other.
Now to answer question you can create a CO2 chamber if you plan on doing alot of them if only one at a time take towle hold mouse at the base of skull with one hand sharply pull up on tail with the other hand..a couple a kicks and the mouse is dead.
