Shy baby - should I worry?

kb0wwp Jul 06, 2004 01:16 PM

I've had my baby ball for about 2.5 weeks. He was quite active during the first week, but ever since he ate (8 days ago) he has been staying in his hides. The only time we see him come out is to move between hids (one on the warm side, one on the cool side.) He seems to move between them 2-3 times per day.

Is this normal? Should I wait to feed him until he is active again, or should I feed him now?

That is normal. You have to remember that snakes will usually move around at night (which I am sure you are not observing). During the day, they usually just stay in their hides. It may have been more active at first as it explored its new environment. I am sure it is fine... Good luck.
