jimfmcdonald Jul 06, 2004 04:41 PM

thats about it, what sise does my male need to be to breed? hes 600 grams now. and is a 2003. or do I needto look for spurm plugs? not that I would know what they look like other then clear to yellow , rubber looking balls when I try to pop him? also my females are now 1400 grams and eating well so I suppose they will be big enough by the time breeding season gets here? witch is? sorry for all the Qs but this will be my first year to breed the balls after ten years of colubrids, and I want to do all I can to get things right! thanks.

He sounds about the right weight and if producing plugs, then you are off to a good start. However, just because a snake is old enough, they still might be too young to want to breed. I have had a couple young males hide in the corner the entire breeding season.

Put them together and see what happens.
