spoiled panthers - what can I feed?

zag Aug 31, 2004 05:27 PM

My panthers have just recently stopped eating their crickets. I think they got spoiled on silkworms when I had them. Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I just let them go hungry until they start eating crix again, or should I try an alternative food source? Thanks in advance. -ps - they're about 4 to 5 months old.

You should offer them an alternate food once or twice a week. they get tired of the samething just as you would. Try mealworms or small superworms. Or if they prefer silkworms feed them silkworms, they are best for them anyway. Whatever your staple is they should have an weekly alternate though.

You'd get tired of eating the same thing every meal every day too wouldnt you?

Alternate the food...mine get roaches and crickets daily, silkies 1 or 2 days a week and mealworms & or waxworms on weekends. (when I'm feeling like it ...wild caught bugs)

Ever since I started this feeding schedual not a one of my chameleons has stopped eating for even a day.
