Well, this really stinks...there are tons of people here without power, but others that have it are totally oblivious to what is really going on. It's hot as the dickens, sweating our brains out, even at night...it's still 80 degrees here right now, what is up with that? It's never this hot at night. My poor chameleons...I really hope they hang in there and don't die on me (they're merus and quads...not necessarily heat tolerant animals) since since we have no a/c. I also have to two babies...I've been trying to keep them as cool as I can, but it's near impossible to get them cool enough.

Mostly high winds and trees down everywhere...the saying sure holds true..."you don't know what you got till it's gone". I sure will be happy when power comes back on...right now, I hooked up a computer to a generator at my parents house. Hauling water for horses, chameleons, etc is so hard...I've resorted to catching rain water in buckets and using that.

Hope everyone else is ok...and no chameleons lost...

Fortunatly my area did not get hit half as hard as charlie hit us. mostly just ALOT of real hard rain, The lake is very full, if we get hit by this next storm I'm sure the lake will be in my house

Only about 12000 people went without power in my area and they are all restored as of today tuesday Thank god the storm downgraded quickly!

I don't know which would be worse this past winter we had a major power outage because of the cold.

Hmmm, keeping chams warm or keeping them cool. Both sound pretty nerve racking.

Good luck.
