Is October normally the month Ball Pythons stop eating?

What's normal for one ball python may not be for another. Mine stopped eating from Jan-Mar (about 3 months) and then again from June-Oct (about 2 1/2 months). It ate really well from Apr-Jun. and now it started eating again. Some don't stop eating while others stop for longer periods of time.
