Black skin....2nd update

adnerb Aug 04, 2005 01:02 PM

Sorry all, back out to the bush i went. All the cultures and bloodwork are in. There is no fungi present and all bacteria seem to be appropriate. All we could find was a high white blood cell count indicating an infection. We have Nemo on antibiotics now and she seems to be doing quite well. She is getting old though and I know my time with her is short. Wanted to thank you all for your advice and support. I especially appreciated the kind words posted after my initial update. Thanks everyone. Is my last post for a few days as this is my satellite comp and if the company catches me misusing it I'll be seeking employment. Will be back in about a week. Bye for now!!

Whew, antibiotics are working and Nemo is back to her old self. The black skin is clearing up and I'm glad to say that I think we've fixed the problem. The herp doc says she's looking very good and her latest bloodwork indicates that the infection is clearing up. I'm sooo very glad. Thank you everyone!!
