I bred my veilds for the first time two weeks ago. Since conception, i've increased her calcium supp. and she has remained in her gravid coloration. This afternoon when i was feeding my female I noticed 4 eggs on the bottom of her cage. I rushed out to buy bedding for her lay site and by the time I was home there were 3 more eggs on her cage floor. They appear to be infertile, yellow and no blood vessels upon candeling. One was severly malformed and a few were dented *obviously infertile*. She has now returned to her receptive coloration. Due to the early laying, small clutch size, and her returning to her receptive coloration, would you still believe her to be gravid? I will post images asap. *sometime tonight or tomarrow morning*

When they leave eggs scattered around like this it's pretty certain she has retained some eggs. Has she laid other clutches or been bred before? If she does not lay them she will be in trouble. You might have a vet xray her to see how many she is still carrying.

She has never been bred before. I was planning on waiting for an infertile clutch before I bred her, but shes been showing receptive coloration for a few months and I have been showing her my male for around a month or so and she hasn't resisted his advances. Right now I have a small trash can in her enclosure filled will moist bed-a-beast. It's only been two weeks since she's been bred so I'm not to concerned about egg binding yet (though I'm sure I'll be pulling my hair out in a few weeks) when would be a good time to take her to the vet for x-rays? Thanks.
