Yema has been gravid for almost two weeks now! she has BRIGHT blue and orange spots all over her. but i have not seen any gravid behavior yet. she is still eating crickets and has not been digging or crawling near the ground. i put a 5 gallon bucket in her enclousure when i first noticed signs, about two weeks ago. the bucket is the same set-up i used for Arcadia. its half filled with damp soil and vermiculate, with a live pothos plant on top of the soil (to one side of the bucket) so she can get in/out and dig under the root ball. she has not even so much as climbed down into the plant at all. should i be concerned? Arcadia was just such an easy cham to get to lay, and Yema is being difficult i think.... any suggestions? how long should it take her to lay without being a cause for concern?

As long as she's moving around, drinking, and alert she's fine. She may eat less as she gets bigger, as the eggs will compress intestines and stomach, but she is not in trouble unless she starts lying quiet on the cage bottom, not drinking or basking, eyes closed etc.

They usually lay about 4 weeks after mating so you still have a bit of worrying...uh, I mean time left

she still hasnt laid yet, but is still eating and acting normal. and hasnt even so much has eyed the bottom of the cage yet....UGH. worrying worrying....

she was not bred to our male, so her eggs will be infertile. i guess i still just wait.
