rescued cham doing much better

gonexenopus Aug 15, 2005 09:25 AM

my little rescued female is doing much better. i took her to my vet and he was able to remove the tip of her tail without major surgery or anything. he pretty much just plucked it off, and said it was close to falling off anyways. he gave me some ointment to put on the tip, which was actually healing under the dead tip of tail. so she is doing much better with lots of TLC.

How much of the tail is gone? Can you show a photo?

just a little bit over an inch of the tip of her tail was very mangled and "dead" when i took her. it was obvious that it had to be removed. her previous owners housed her with another cham and they got into a fight.

i think i can take a pic of the tail. my computer with the camera software isnt hooked up to the internet anymore. so i will try to see if i can switch the computers around. she still has a lot of her tail left, and now she is shedding. so hopefully she should be ok soon.
