I was about to order 2 of these, What is a cheap alternative that will not take time to assemble and peice together... such as sprinkler set ups.

I need it to have timed cycles.

Reply ASAP.

Will,

Not sure what you are looking for, though if I recall from previous posts you are prepping for a single cham. many of us have devised an inexpensive and reliable system using PVC pipe and humidifiers. I linked below to Luna's setup and if you ask people to post their's I think you will get several. You can buy timers that offer multiple settings (not expensive) so you can have it turn on several times a day. If you go this route, it will take some time for you to get the length of time and frequency to fit your needs but it is a good alternative.

Hope this helps

lele,

Thanks for the link and sorry to hear about luna's passing.

That looks like a good idea.

I am actually preparing for two chameleons. In a slpit enclosure where the door opens to let them breed.

I guess I can use one of those, with a peice at the bottom going to a smaller sized tubing, then splitting at the top, going to either side of the center peice...

Thank you.

WOW!!! Are those your chams enclosures????? HOLY MOLY!!! Talk about cham heaven! Geez....they'll have plenty of roaming space in there. They might even get lost!

Before the set up. That chair is pretty high, for comparison, about 40".

Before the set up. Inside View.

This is only the right side.

that's awesome! When I build my own I don't think it's gonna be so fancy....at least not right away. The enclosure is gonna be like 4'X2.5'X2.5' Should be more than enough for 1 cham. I'll be giving my female cham to my fiance's aunt cuz she has a male and wants to breed them. I'm not sure what we'll do with the other male, but if I have to....I'll make my fiance build 2 cages. LOL

Haha, I guess you will just need more cages and more chameleons!

Just make sure you use Real plants, they are so sweet.

specialk6952 Aug 21, 2005 12:20 AM

LOL I bought a pothos plant about a month ago and I'm hoping it gets a little more viney.....otherwise I'll be purchasing more. LOL I know real ones are better, but with my chams being the size they are, the fake ones are just fine for now. LOL They are only about 3 inches long.

You must be online since you replied so quickly. You got AIM, yahoo messenger, or MSN mesenger?
