				<title>Kingsnake.com - Herpforum - Racers &amp; Coachwhips</title>

				<link>https://forums.kingsnake.com/forum.php?catid=83</link>

				<description>

				  Often seen on hot summer days crossing the roads, racers and coachwhips are generally large, extremely fast, predators. Often willing to hold their ground when backed in a corner, and armed with long teeth, their usual defense is to flee with rocket like speed when given the opportunity. Not often seen in private collections due to their aggressiveness and size, they are not commonly captive bred.

Here you may post messages or questions pertaining to all aspects and issues regarding the keeping, breeding, health, and conservation of all Racers and Coachwhips.

If you are a new user to this forum, please take the time to review the rules first before posting: Terms of Service.

 In the wild if they are the same size? Someone had two of them together and they were fine. I was shocked I thought they would have eaten the other. I've had several kinds of racer hatchlings to raise over the years including blues. Probably why I don't have any patience left. Most refused convenient food although some did eat their siblings. Matt is right, coachwhips are no boas. Any of the ambush hunters like boas will have a very different view of life from a hunter/chaser like a coachwhip. Tight spaces are claustrophobic for them, and they like obstacles that they can get behind but still see past, like piles of branches. Hot bask...
