I'm looking for frozen hairless mice. There is one site on the net that has them, however they are out of stock. Does anyone have a list of suppliers or a local source for hairless mice? Thank you!

Adult mice that are hairless. The site that was out of stock had them in and they are now out of stock again. I did buy some, but was hoping to find additional sources for these.

i am looking for live feeder mice and rats in the charleston, summerville,moncks corner, north charleston or orangeburg, columbia area. the only store i am aware of is parks pets in orangeburg and she keeps changing her hours and is hard to contact. any help would be awesome. my snakes will not eat frozen they have to be alive

Stay away from this company. I ordered the Brown Crickets (Acheta domestica) from them . They sent banded crickets to my billing address, not my shipping address. I emailed them but those emails were returned undeliverable. I called the phone number and was told he did not handle that add and they don't sell Brown crickets, but call back the next day and talk to someone else. I did call, got a machine and left a message (of course I received no response).
STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!! I filed a complaint with the BBB but of course this company has not responded to the BBB.
Anyone know a good source of the Brown Crickets (Acheta domestica) ?

I've kept a couple snakes for a while - including a hognose who was originally hard to feed but I now have eating regularly - but I recently got a baby kingsnake and I'm having trouble with her. It's making me a bit anxious.
I got her to eat the first couple weeks just fine, but now she won't without assist feeding. I really hesitated with that and gave her a couple weeks before trying it. (I tried other methods too, with different rat parts and cut up pinkies. I've tried leaving her alone with the food for a long while, wiggling the food with the tongs like usual, a bit of scenting using one of my other snakes, braining pinkies, etc etc.) The first assist feeding with a rat tail went fine enough and I got her to eat one. But a couple weeks later she still won't eat on her own, and assist feeding didn't work this time.
I really want to avoid having to assist feed again, as it's so stressful for her (and me) and I accidentally caused her to get her lip stuck on a tooth and it bled a bit so that scared me from trying it again. But at the same time, she's so small and I'm afraid of stunting her growth if she goes off food too long. Any tips?

Anyone need live healthy native rats? I live in Castro Valley CA, and we have a rat problem. Most are dusky footed wood rats, but get an occasional Norway rat too. Basically, Im hoping there is a herper who doesnt mind feeding live healthy mostly native rats to a snake or monitor.
I catch them live as I dont use any poisons or glues etc on my property. I live in the woods on some acreage and dont have close neighbors, so I know the rats are healthy.
I catch several a week, only because they love going into my cars and sheds.
Is there anyone close by who could use these rats to feed their pets? Any suggestions? I would hate to kill them, they are awesome critters, I just cant have them in my sheds. Thanks, Curt

Hey Everyone,
Just a question regarding crickets and leaving them in a lizards cage.
Not too long ago, I did a complete substrate change on both my leopard gecko enclosures because to my disappointment, I had noticed that one of the crickets in both cages had laid eggs and they had hatched with lots of baby crickets. Naturally, I don't want the little buggers running around in big numbers in the cage, so I changed it. I used to keep my geckos on dry coconut fibre and I now switched to sand. This happened to me once before a few years ago. Someone told me it might have been because the crickets were left in the cage too long. Usually, I do leave the crickets in because I am also aware that it provides a source of enrichment for the geckos. The crickets hide and then come out again giving the gecko opportunity to hunt them. I keep my substrates dry with the exception when they are in shed and I moisten their hides. Any idea on how I stop this from happening in the future? I work in a pet store and they don't go through the painstaking process of taking out leftover crickets in each cage day after day, and I never heard of a problem like this there. Any ideas and advise is appreciated.

I have two female rats, one had babies about three weeks ago and the other about one week ago. Originally they had separate nests, but the the older babies moved in with the young ones and now the mothers are sharing feeding them. I'm assuming its OK, as none of the babies have been injured, despite the size difference. But I cannot find any info, and just wondering if its alright to leave them to do their thing?

When I was speaking with a breeder at a reptile expo in OR, RodentPlus' represenatives said they would have guinea pigs at the beginning of the year! You may want to contact them personally! They ship and I get all my feeders, rodent and insect through them.

I'm about to buy in bulk and I'm not sure what to get . I know what my snakes eat now, but don't know what they will be eating by the time the order is all used up.
I need to order food for 2 hatchling corns, currently eating VERY small mouse pinkies. A six month old northern pine currently takes small rat pinkies, a six month old texas bull currently on large rat pinks, a year and a half old eastern rat currently eating small rat fuzzies.
So, like I said, I know what I need now, but how do I figure how long they will be on the current food source. I don't want to get , for instance, six months worth of mouse pinkies and find out in 3 months that I need something larger.
Ideas?
