Well he eats any snake, water, racer, rat, ringneck, name it, but its usually offered defrosted water snakes. And yea, once his hide is removed he comes straight up with its mouth open for anything that is moving as his only association with that hide being moved is that a meal comes next. I clipped the front legs of the pink to be sure it did not get turned off and did not scent it at all but rinced it well. I did the same with my eastern coral before but it did not work. It always coiled in a hide cave and I approached with a defrosted water snake on forceps and it would take and eat the snake. However when presented with a pink, it latched on and gummed it for a bit and eventually let it go. Since a feeder snake provides about 10 times the meal compared to a pink, its not worth feeding pinks anyway to corals. I find enough smashed feeder snakes on the roads to use anyway. And if the snake is too large, I just use the tail section and it eats any section I offer it.

Dan
