Interesting question about release

This is a moot point now but I'm so curious to hear your thoughts. This Brown Anole has been with me for almost 2 1/2 years. She was not full grown when I rescued her. I had the chance to give her to a friend that was driving to FL last weekend (where she came from) so that he could let her go.

Although she is apparently as wild as the day I found her, I decided that she probably isn't in prime condition for surviving in the wild. She's in 20 gallon tank that has lots of hiding places and she has never even ventured past 3 quarters of it's length.

I just figured she was better off staying put. What do you think?
