That is absolutely fabulous! Can you post some pics of your setup as a whole. Accident or not, you're doing something right. Can I borrow your male j/k,



If the mating ritual was relatively undisturbed, the eggs are likely furtile. Because they live on the mother's back (they do actually get oxygenated from capillaries in her tissue, I'm unsure if there is nutrient transfer) if fertile, they will also likely hatch. Of the few recorded breedings in captivity, they did mention that fish have been known to eat the eggs off the mother's back. I'd move the fish to another tank, but it's your call on what you prioritize. The babies are more at risk if you move the frog.



Good luck with the pipa, and please send pics of the development and froglets. Where abouts are you? I'd love first dibs on some captive bred pipa!
