I looked around banks of the crook and pond but no success not even a frog. So I started looking under rocks and found a adult western redback salamander and not to long after found a second one that was a little longer than a penny. After looking through about 6 or 7 piles of tree bark and under countless nurse logs I decided today was not a very good day for ali hunting and went home.
