AHHH, I saw my first reptile of the year! I live in Ontario, Canada, and its a warm winter day.It was 8 degrees celcius or about about 48 degrees farenheit when I saw the turtle.

Its a gorgeous day, and I decided to check out my favourite spring/summer pond. Dead, clear of any vegetation I enjoyed the birds. Then to my suprise I saw a juvenile painted turtle basking on a log!!! :D :D :D. March 11, still winter and my first herp sighting. This should be a good year .
