I have bred Pipa pipa.I can tell you these things....

Do not disturb the female for a few days as she will throw eggs off of her back.Do not feed her for a few days, until the eggs have embedded in her back.Any eggs that fall out are no good.
The female will not eat the babies when they leave the back,in my experience. The babies are tricky to feed. They eat only the smallest food, and only live prey items.Black worms and Daphnia work best.Mine would regurge even cut up red wigglers.I found them best kept seperate also.I would recomend the female be kept alone or the others may eat the babies when they come out.I keep them seperate in a sweater box until they are done with the spawn.Beware what you read about on the web and in books.I found most of it not to be correct and the people who wrote a lot of the most highly regarded info never successfully spawned pipa.Thats why you don't see any photos of the process.I took photos and video. Here is a link to some photos(they are on the bottom left).I hope this helps and let me know if I can be of any assistance.
