Posted by: rhyion at Wed Mar 29 16:02:05 2006 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by rhyion ] well, according to some scientists garter snakes and water snakes have venom glands, but they dont have fangs that take venom directly from the venom gland to the prey. the venom just drips down slightly on the teeth. but chances r the worst that could happen to someone who gets bit is some bleeding and minor swelling. turtles wouldnt need venom because they dont have teeth and their beak thing can kill their prey just fine.
