You don't want to use the toilet paper roll cardboard as that can be a bit unhygienic. The dog bowls that have a little cut out in the side, so the snake can slide underneath are also great. Make sure that you have one hide on the warm side, directly over or under your heat source, and the other one should be on the cool side.
