okay, i just read the last post about tokays and was a little curious about a few things. while my post might have been able to fit into that thread, i figured i'd make a new one reguardless.

i had kept tokays for many years when i was younger. i had two over the course of about 12 years or so. i always kept them solitary, both had been very large, and im assuming rather old, males.

my wife and i recently decided on setting up and ordering some tokays. i ordered them online and asked for a male and female, but im a little unsure right now if i actually GOT a male or not. they have just started to settle in now and have yet to start vocalizing, so i cant tell by their calls right now. as i remember them, the males i had kept previously had very noticable glands/pours, but im not noticing very much diference between the two geckos i have now. i can clearly tell that the smaller of the two is infact female, but the larger is the one in question.

we have them set up in the largest terrerium exo-terra offers. 18x18x24. they have vines and logs to climb, an esu moonlight, a hand crafted plexiglass 9x9x5 pond with ramp wich is embeded in the substrate, live plants, an exo-terra fogger in their pond wich i run off and on throughout the day/night randomly. they seem to like to hang out on the exo-terra 3d rock background that came with the setup. but my main question is... would it be alright to add a male in this setup if this is infact two females? is there enough room? it's far from cluttered, so theres plenty of room to get around, run up and down, hop from structure to structure, etc, but is this setup large enough for 3 tokays generally?

my other question was for the member who said they breed tokays. i assume you sell them as well, but i figured i might ask anyways. if so, i wish i would have found you before i ordered mine. i really hate to purchase WC reptiles, and very rarely do so, but there seems to be very little in the way of finding a CB tokay. if i DO end up being able to house a male here, i would be very interested in finding CB animals.

thanks,

~KM
