I did breed Phelsuma latucauda (Gold Dust Day Geckos) for a few years and I recently sold the group. I had 3 females and one male breeder. At first I tried keeping the group together in a well-planted, spacious enclosure. However, it became clear after a few days that the females were extremely aggressive towards eachother. The dominant female would harrass the others so as to prevent them from breeding and getting access to food and basking.



I have been working Phelsuma for a few years now and I can say that in my experience, P. laticauda are the most aggressive species I have worked with. If you want both females to be as healthy and reproductive as possible, you should house the females each in their own tanks and rotate the male back and forth.



- Just my 2 cents. You can try them together at first, but keep a close eye out for aggression between the females and be prepared to separate them.
