Only God knows how many years I have worked with non-venomous reptiles and I think it is time to spice things up. There are a couple of North American Viperidaes on my list. My top 3 are the Canebrake rattler, Timber rattler and the beatiful Southern Copper Head. I know that they have the least toxic venom of all North American Viperidae but I also know they can still pack a pretty powerful punch. I have not delt with venomous snakes much(I have delt with them but not with out a more experienced handler next to me and all my experience has been in the field) so I thought I would start off with the Southern Copper and get used to caring for a venomou because of the fact I don't have much one on one experience and although dangerous they are not as so as the Rattle Snakes. If this is a bad idea or if there is a snake ya'll think would be better for a starter then let me know. I will eventually get a Southern Copper Head so its not like I'm settling. In my eyes they are one if not the most beautiful snakes in the world. I am really interested in all of ya'lls views and opinons. Thanks. SSR.
