I'm sorry if this sounds like a commercial but do yourself and the tortoise a favor and get her started on Mazuri tortoise diet. It will buy you time.

It is this very situation that demonstrates why I push this product.

Many new or WC animals fail to thrive because their feeding habits seem to be imprinted and the new owner usually has a problem keying onto the 'right' diet before the tortoise dwindles and dies. The Mazuri diet seems to be so nutritious that every tortoise I've got to use it has thrived from the start.

Once you have the tortoise established you can tweek the diet to what you think it needs or likes but you will have the time to do it which you would not if you follow the course of action or placing whatever you can find or think it needs.

This is just a suggestion that I'm sure you would not regret.

>>She is eating!!!

>>

>> I don't know what triggered it but she ate a slice of cantaloupe, a slice of Honeydew and half a banana!!

>>

>>I just want to thank everyone for their help. I really appreciate this board and everyone on it. She has been soaking and enjoying her outdoor enclosure all morning.

>>

>>

>> I also went over her entire indoor enclosure with no sign of eggs, (thinking maybe that was the problem?) but after 3 weeks of not eating, losing nearly 3 whole pounds, she decided to take a bite this morning. Thanks again everyone.

>>P.S. As soon as I can find my fiance's camera, I'll post pics.
