I have what I believed to be a baby C. c. carinata that I purchased a few months back. I was completely sure of it's taxonomy up until last night.
I won the raffle at my Herp Society's meeting last night, and one of the choices was a pair of Candoias, which I promptly bagged up. I could tell from their size that they were C. c. paulsoni. When I got home, I compared them all closely, and dang if that little one doesn't look like a "Mini-me" of the others, aside from the pattern.
I guess my question is: How can I be sure if I have a Carinata or a baby Paulsoni??
