Are you kidding! When I used to live in Thailand, way back when I was a little boy, I heard my cousins and uncle told me that the Tokays would make a snack out of the parakeets in the cage. I'm not sure how much of that is true, but I have heard pet birds that have gone missing and people see the culpret next to the cage. I don't really know if they actually see them eat it or not. There is also another myth in Thailand that green vipers would crawl into the tokay's mouth and down the throat inorder to eat the liver. My guess is that the tokay was trying to eat it, but could not swallow the whole snake. At my grandmother's house there used to be a pair of tokays that live in the wall of her house. And some night I would hear it make the mating call. They used to creep me out the way they look and the sound they make, but now I have one for a pet, a little girl, I think!
