Baby Side-Blotch lizards do really well in a desert set up with granite or sand stone slabs. Temp should be in the high 70's in the cool side, and mid 80's in the basking spot. At night you could turn off the lights, as long as it doesnt get down to the 50's. Baby S/B lizards if temp is properly set up will eat pin head cricket up to small 2 week old crickets. If he doesnt eat still, you could put in anouther baby lizard of similar size that will eat and that stimulates your baby S/B to eat too. If it wont eat after that , then something is wrong and you should let him go where you found him or where you would find other S/B lizards. As far as the rules or laws go in Arizona you can keep just about anything, except for there protected species, ie. Gila monsters. And you cant remove them from the state unless you have fish and game collecting permits. Hope this helps, if you have anymore questions post on the swift spiny forum or e-mail me.

Thank you,
