>>i would like to set up a community tank with frogs, lizards, hermits, turtles etc. all in the same tank >>>> >>is this possible?
No not a good idea. Frogs exude toxins that can harm other species. Hermits need a sand substrate and that wouldn't work for frogs. Turtles will eat the frogs, lizards may eat them too, then the turtles may eat the lizards. These animals are going to require different temps, humidity, diet, then there's the huge problem of them passing disease to one another. What is normal flora for one species can be deadly to another species. There would be a lot of emotional stress on the animals who'd each need to defend it's territory. It's best to keep all these animals in different enclosures. I have all of these, frog, lizard, turtles, hermit crabs, each species lives in it's own enclosure. ----- PHRatz
