Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum. I have kept a variety of reptiles for many years now but I am fairly new to tortoises. Over the weekend I purchased a 2006 hatching red foot from a breeder. When I first took it home it ate a huge piece of banana, yesterday it ate some of the tortoise food I bought, only a couple of pellets, but did not touch the lettuce and other veggies I left for it. Today it has eaten nothing. I'm wondering how much hatching redfoots will eat and if I should be concerned that mine is not eating much? Also, how long does it take for them to settle into a new home? The hatchling has UVA and UVB lighting, a basking spot, and a heat pad for night time heating. Any advice would be great.

Thanks
Kristen
