I find it reassuring to know that other people's Asian ratsnakes lay a small number of eggs. I bred a female corn for the first time last year and she laid ten eggs as a first clutch (the same snake laid 19 this year), so although I know trinkets tend to lay smaller clutches I was surprised when my female trinket only laid four eggs as her first clutch this year. She also hasn't had a post lay shed and has carried on as though nothing happened, unlike my corn last year who was worn out and thin as a rake. I suppose it makes sense that a snake breed which lays several clutches a year rather than just one or two is not so worn down by each clutch.
