My wife enjoys chasing and biting me, but I'm never noticed it with any frequency in wild turtles. My wife is wild caught, so that may explain it.

No, seriously, the wild spotteds that I've had the pleasure to come across have been so shy and wary that I've never been able to observe any natural behavior. You must have a great spot, or be the sneakiest person alive. We may have to call you "Lightfoot". My experience with spotted turtles have been that the males are insanely aggressive towards other spotteds...other males, females, and hatchlings. Of course, growing up and dating in NJ, I know that the females up there are TOUGH!! They could put any male in his place
