People drop turtles off at my house all the time because I keep box turtles and snapper turtles. I get the usual boxie, slider, painted, and snapper. I usually let them go somewhere really big that has alot of turtles.
Someone brought over a turtle that they believed was a snapper but was a wood turtle. I have never seen a wood turtle in my area. I have been in the woods looking for wildlife for over 20 years and have never seen one. I was thinking it was an escaped pet.
I have not decided what to do with it yet. I am moving in Sept. and my new yard will have enough room for an extra enclosure so I may keep it.
I have read online but I would rather verteran wood turtle keepers give me the skinny on what I should know.

Any help will greatly be appreciated.
Thanks
