I know that they're not listed under the forum heading, but they used to belong to the same genus at one time.

I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to share some Western Pond turtle husbandry practices with me? The information on them is scant, and I've heard that they are not a very forgiving species. Has anyone kept them successfully for 5 years or more and/or bred them? Most people learns little tricks after dealing with a certain species for an extended period of time. Does anyone have any good trade secrets for me? I would also appreciate the basics; staple food items, water pH and hardness, personality, and growth rate.

I'm obtaining my first at the Daytona show, a CB juvenile. I'm a little nervous. I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Thank you in advance.
