If it's a small turtle I usually take them out of the tank in the morning and feed them in a smaller container. Then when I come home from work I clean out the small container and put him back in the larger one. That cuts down on alot of the excess waste and uneaten food. I would think eventually the mud turtle would catch the catfish.
