Hi everyone - I have had the great fortune to not have to post here before, but I am posting now on behalf of a friend. He recently acquired a baby Irin Jaya carpet (and a very new baby - only shed and fed once). And the little Houdini has found a way out of his cage. Has anyone had experience with escaped baby carpets? Do they go far, or do they stay relatively close to their enclosures? Should we be looking up or down? How long can this young a hatchling survive without eating? Thanks so much for any replies; this is my friend's first snake and he is heartbroken.
