Jobi, I am sure that the colors don't have to be lost. With me there is not much of a forgotten side of herpetoculture however. I started working with these guys less than 8 years ago and everything I know I have learned from my dragons, books and talking to others who work with reptiles. I am the first to admit that I am still learning. So, I think I have too much yet to learn and not that much that I could have forgotten yet! ; )

And it seems that so much of this isn't something that I can find in books, or at least I haven't found it if it is. I get frustrated at the fact that the books that are always recommended for learning about MHDs are written in German. I am at such a disadvantage not being able to read those. I wonder why they are not translated into English well. I know you were telling Bonnie that Manthey's book in German doesn't have the ID errors that the English edition has. That really stinks! It would be nice if we could all be on the same page!

So, I watch the animals, I talk to others who have them, and I try to filter out what works best. That is the best I can do for now.
