I can honestly say I have had very few heros in my life time. I've had football players, guitarists and rock climbers whose skills I've envied, but none of them have led lives that seemed any more fulfilling, fun or entertaining as my own.
Steve Irwin my be the only person that I think I might have switched places with. Through his TV shows, I enjoyed hours of vicarious animal adventures, wishing I was the guy spreading the good news of reptiles.
I see death and tragedy on a regular basis and I've been pretty hardend to this kind of thing... but today's events have pushed me a bit farther than I'm used to.
My heart goes out to Terri, Bindi-Sue and Bob.
