i still can't believe it...

So much of what I am feeling has already been said in messages posted by others here. I still can't believe he is really gone...it just won't sink in! I have enjoyed his T.V. shows very much, and have learned a great deal from them. I recall episodes where certain animals that where very close to him had passed away, and whether it was a crocodile or his best canine pal...you could see just how important these creatures were to him and how much he cared. Both by the words said and the tears shed. Now the words and tears will be for Steve himself. I'm still in a state of such utter shock and disbelief.

My condolences go out to his family, friends, and those he worked with. I hope that they and many others will continue his work and will always carry the same passion for animals and conservation as he did.
