I grew up watching Steve; he impacted my life, and was one of the large factors that led me to keeping the unique animals I do. Steve was an inspiration to us all. He lived the life that we all dream to live, and his conservation and education efforts were nothing short of astonishing. I’ve never seen anyone with such zest and complete and total love of life and what he did with his life. Although many will imitate him, there will never, ever, be another person quite the same as Steve. I feel that Chris Harper said it best, “The world is an emptier place without you.” My thoughts and prayers are with Steve’s family, Terri, Bindi, Bob, Bob Sr., Wes, and the Australia Zoo team.
The world has lost a great person, we’ll miss ya buddy,
